A 'spanking conversion' of large chateau in the middle of the countryside. This new luxury hotel stands in 220-acre grounds at the top of a hill in unspoilt rural Limousin. Interiors are modern traditional. 'Masses of light; huge public rooms. Pastel or white décor except in the bar lounge. Spacious bedrooms with state-of the-art bathroom. Stunning chandeliered dining rooms. Exceptional food from Michelin-starred chef, Pierre Guilhaud Delightful receptionists spoke excellent English; pleasant French staff. Adequate buffet breakfast with eggs cooked the way you ask'; also fresh fruit salade, cheese, etc. 'Prices by French standards are reasonable.
