Good Hotel Guide Review
“Pleasant, very convenient.” “A gem! Peaceful, comfortable, relaxing.” The reports on this B&B hotel in a quiet cul-de-sac in the old centre of this busy city. A 17th-century house, but dating back to 1345, it has a modern minimalist decor. “My stylish room on the fourth floor was soothing in pale grey and cream. Small attic windows looked over the cathedral on one side, top floors of houses on the other, giving a pleasant feel of being part of the community.” The small courtyard garden, with plants in terracotta pots, “is a delight, particularly in hot weather”. The “cordial” owner, Jean Zimmer, runs the house with a “charming team”, and the atmosphere is “very friendly”. On the courtyard, breakfast (with fresh fruit and yogurt, boiled eggs), drinks and light lunches are served. Recommended restaurants include Maison des Tanneurs and Zum Strissel.
