The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Set in the quiet Mitte area, but close to an U-Bahn station, this hotel is set in a former tenement house dating from 1895 and is elegantly colonial in style, with antique furniture, polished wood floors, patterned wallpaper and replica oil paintings. Some have four-poster beds, and some include bathtubs, and they look out either onto an interior courtyard or the street. There are also a number of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with kitchens. Breakfast, not included in the rate, is a lavish continental affair, and although the restaurant has now closed there are plenty of options nearby. A sister hotel, Honigmond Garden Hotel, is 300 m away.
