Good Hotel Guide Review
By the rocky shore, the Delion family”s pink, Florentine-style villa was a favourite of prewar Riviera society: Garbo and Scott Fitzgerald were among its habitués. “It is my idea of the perfect hotel,” says an aficionado. “One is pampered with professionalism yet one feels at home.” Devotees admire the “magnificent position”, the flower-filled courtyard, the “excellent concierges”. “Our room, large and nicely furnished, looked over the busy little harbour, the mountains, the coast as far as Èze. Public areas are gorgeous. Superb flowers.” The heated sea-water swimming pool, overlooking the sea and Cap Ferrat, “is a jewel at sunrise and sunset”. The restaurant has a Michelin star; there’s also a less formal bistro, a bar and pool bar/restaurant. Front-facing rooms may hear traffic.
