Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
In a park with century-old trees bordered by box tree walkways, this Renaissance château near Brantôme looks across a valley. Graceful and romantic, it is creeper-covered, pepperpot-towered. The owners, father and son Michel and Olivier Guillaume, are 'very friendly, lovely people', one guest wrote. The bedrooms are in period style; some are large; some have a fireplace; some have exposed beams: 'Ours, in the turret, had a large round bathroom, amazing views.' One suite has private access to the dungeon terrace. The chef, Marie Verdier, creates traditional Périgord cuisine.
