Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
On the edge of this historic town stands new owner Justin Giustianini's substantial half-timbered inn. It is on a dull main road, but bedrooms (in Louis XVI to Louis-Philippe style) face a quiet rear garden which has a dining terrace. The hotel has a charming old-fashioned appeal, and visitors had an enjoyable stay: “Our first-floor room was nicely furnished. The demi-pension dinners were good.” The wine list has a good selection of half bottles. “Traditional French breakfast with the bonus of fresh orange juice.” Visit the 17th/18th-century Palais National with Marie-Antoinette”s lavish rooms. Nearby are the forests of Compiègne.
