Good Hotel Guide Review
Overlooking the colour and activity of the working harbour in a busy fishing town, this ‘modest’ B&B, in the former harbour master’s house, is run by ‘helpful, considerate’ host Stephen King. ‘It’s exceptional value for such a pleasant, comfortable spot.’ Straightforward bedrooms on the top three floors may be ‘small, but they’re spotless’, and have all the essentials: tea- and coffee-making facilities, an alarm clock radio, controllable central heating; ‘a comfy bed and a good shower’. The two top-floor rooms are ideal for a family or group. In the morning, a ‘fabulous’ full English breakfast is served in ‘any combination, cooking style and quantity you like’. Steps, opposite, lead down to the quayside.
