Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Beautifully decorated, a little quirky, scrupulously clean’, Vanessa and Simon Clark’s ‘highly recommended’ Victorian town house lies between the town and the seafront. Inside, the B&B brims with interesting features and lively colours. High-ceilinged, imaginatively designed bedrooms share a hip, ‘boutiquey’ look and thoughtful amenities; some offer sweeping views of the sun rising over the harbour and estuary. In the breakfast room with its multicoloured chairs, guests enjoy freshly squeezed juices; many daily specials (wilted spinach and garlic mushrooms on organic bread; home-made rösti with a poached egg, dry-cured streaky bacon and seaweed). ‘Superb hosts’, the Clarks offer helpful advice on where to eat, drink and visit.
