Good Hotel Guide Review
Tony Pithers and Gordon Craig’s ultra-modern B&B stands in hillside woodland across the estuary from Dartmouth. One of just four in Devon, the 1960s Le Corbusier-inspired ‘butterfly house’ is a tranquil, adults-only space. Sleek, light-filled bedrooms decorated with abstract art each have their own entrance and private terrace with outdoor seating (some reached via steep steps). Well equipped, they have robes and slippers, a mini-fridge, an espresso machine and home-made sweet treats. Breakfast is in an airy room overlooking the swimming pool. Start with freshly squeezed juices, locally baked bread and fruit compote; eggs Benedict, home-made vegetarian sausages or other cooked dishes follow.
