The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Occupying adjacent terrace townhouses on a residential Belgravia street, this hotel is very affordable despite its highly desirable central location. In the nature of a Grade II listed building, bedrooms vary in size and style, with some a few flights up (no lift), but all are 'boutique chic, neatly and tastefully furnished', says our inspector, with the same facilities, including a walk-in shower. The best doubles have high ceilings, tall Georgian windows. Reception is staffed around the clock, but there is no guest lounge. Breakfast and lunch are served in the café-restaurant, which has a 'buzzy atmosphere'; there are tables in the walled garden. Ken Lo's Memories of China and the venerable Poule au Pot are just steps away.
