Good Hotel Guide Review
Close to the city’s attractions, Wilma and John Martin’s B&B stands just apart from the bustle on a quiet residential street. It’s a modest, restful place, in its own pretty garden; restaurants and the riverside are a stroll away. The Victorian villa was once home to the novelist Neil M Gunn, the Highland literary hero. Browse the collection of his books in the sitting room before heading to one of the comfortable bedrooms – each is named after one of Gunn’s works. Individually styled, rooms are supplied with bathrobes, toiletries, a hospitality tray. ‘Good breakfasts’ include eggs from the garden hens. Consummate hosts, the Martins are happy to provide local recommendations, and can help arrange tours of the city and surrounding area.
