Good Hotel Guide Review
Connoisseurs and amateurs of every vintage find modern accommodation in Christine and Colin Munday’s impressively reconstructed traditional Sussex barn, part of a complex including a restaurant and a wine shop. Mix and mingle, perhaps play a tune on the baby grand piano, in the open-plan lounge on the ground floor before heading to one of the smart bedrooms on the upper level. Comfortable, and hung with original art, rooms vary in size; one with a wet room is adapted for a wheelchair user. Order off the seasonal menu in the thatched Flint Barn restaurant; next day, ask the ‘knowledgeable, helpful staff’ for a recommendation in the wine centre stocked with more than 150 English labels. Regular wine tastings. 5 miles from Glyndebourne.
