Good Hotel Guide Review
In a ‘stunning’ location on the edge of a village in the South Downs, Amanda and William Godman’s ‘stylish’ B&B occupies two handsomely rough-hewn, flint-and-brick buildings on a tranquil courtyard. Modern, country-cottage bedrooms are made homely with fresh flowers, dressing gowns and home-baked treats; two can accommodate an extra bed for a child. Head to the owners’ White Horse pub next door for classic British dishes cooked with modern flair (perhaps lamb kebab, tzatziki; Selsey crab risotto). In the morning, ‘there’s every variation of cooked breakfast that you could want’. Many footpaths and cycle routes nearby; cyclists and walkers are warmly welcomed. 5 miles from Petworth.
