Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Elegant yet hip and fun’, this ‘conveniently located’ hotel (part of the Doyle Collection) is minutes from the museums of South Kensington. The staff make it a place to return to, a Guide reader says in 2017: ‘they’re so pleasant, helpful and accommodating.’ ‘Well-equipped bedrooms’ in the graciously decorated Victorian town house are ‘clean and cosy’. They vary in size, but even the smallest has a marble bathroom with underfloor heating, aromatherapy-based bath products and a capsule coffee machine. The ‘uncluttered drawing rooms’ are an ideal place for afternoon tea (gluten-free options available), custom smoothies and juices. In the ‘lovely restaurant’ or the wood-panelled bar, chef Steve Gibbs’s menu includes seasonal modern dishes, and meat and seafood cooked on the Josper grill. (Underground: South Kensington)
