Good Hotel Guide Review
Seaside style and modern Cornish plates attract locals and passers-by to this casual, buzzy hotel, bar and restaurant on the quay. It is owned by David and Karen Richards. Public rooms have jauntily striped seating, local art and seafaring paraphernalia (look out for the crab cages). Join the crew over cocktails and nibbles in the lively bar, or pull up a seat in the Upper Deck restaurant, where the wide view is of boats in the bay. Bedrooms are chic and comfortable, with cheery marine stripes, and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Some suit a family; the best have views stretching over the harbour to St Anthony’s Head. Big-sister hotel Idle Rocks is up the street (see main entry).
