Good Hotel Guide Review
Play pétanque on the wide lawn here, or stroll down to the pond; on clear nights, settle in to stargaze: surrounded by the rolling hills and pastures of the Teign valley, Jo Gossett and Sam Perry’s rustic chic country guest house is just as inviting outside as in. The Grade II listed longhouse is pleasing with its wood-burning stoves, deep sofas, and Dartmoor- and Devon-focused honesty bar; dogs and children are welcome in equal measure. Uncluttered bedrooms have cotton robes, bags of style, rural views from a sheep-skinned window seat. Four nights a week, stay in for a home-cooked dinner of locally sourced produce (special diets are catered for); at breakfast, the home-made granola wins praise.
