Good Hotel Guide Review
Central Bath is on the doorstep of Nici and Alan Jones’s good-value B&B on a cobbled Georgian square, a toga drape away from the Abbey and Roman baths. Accommodation sprawls comfortably across two well-restored town houses with parts dating back to 1689. Each room has its own extra feature, perhaps clever eaves storage, a fireplace in the bathroom, a huge four-poster bed and enormous windows overlooking the leafy square. Pale hues and a springy mattress in the Jane Austen wing, up narrow, winding stairs, would be familiar to her heroines. Breakfast has plentiful cooked options, home-made preserves. Any queries about the locale are readily answered by the friendly hosts.
