The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
A pleasant three-star hotel in a trim white villa, in a quiet location, close to city centre. It has long been liked by Guide readers, particularly for the 'warm welcome' from the Martinecz family owners, who 'speak fairly good English'. Terracotta sculptures and pictures are on the staircase; homely bedrooms are simple but clean; all have TV and minibar; most of the suites have a balcony. A good selection of local drinks and a snack menu is available in the small bar. The small front garden, with a fishpond and gazebo, is sometimes used for barbecues or goulash parties; there's a terrace for drinks in summer. Breakfast is a buffet, locked parking and wi-fi are available free of charge.
