The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This 'beautifully refurbished' old bastide is located within walking distance of the ancient fortified village of Reillanne. A reviewer found it 'calm, quiet, relaxing; simply furnished'; the spacious rooms have whitewashed walls and beams, and the large bathrooms have terracotta tiles and baths (hand-held showers only). The proprietor, Monique Balmand, cooks the delicious, 'simple and good' no-choice evening menus, and the hotel has artefacts from her many travels in Nepal. The garden, with hammocks, is large and very tranquil. Good breakfast (orange juice, yogurt, etc).
