Good Hotel Guide Review
Soak up harbour scenes from this stylishly renovated Georgian town house in the centre of a historic town along the Wild Atlantic Way. It is owned by landscape photographer Giles Norman and his wife, Catherine, who have hung fine black-and-white photographic prints throughout the listed building. Above the gallery and shop on the ground floor, urbane, understated bedrooms are equipped with teas and a coffee machine, plus organic Irish toiletries; most look over the water. A spacious suite with handsome beams is under the eaves. No meals are served, but the cafés and notable restaurants of the foodie town are within a few minutes’ walk. From the harbour front, hop on a cruise for panoramic views of the town.
