Good Hotel Guide Review
Phil and Rhoda Nolan’s friendly B&B is well located for exploring the medieval town with its castle and cathedral, just across the River Nore. Simple bedrooms are well equipped with a flat-screen TV and a hot drinks tray; larger rooms may have a seating area; families have a choice of rooms, including a separate self-catering apartment with its own entrance. The extensive, wholesome breakfast, made with locally sourced produce, is a point of pride: fruit (fresh and poached), house special granola, home-baked bread, local cheeses; cooked-to-order dishes include a full Irish, omelettes. The Nolans have plentiful, on-point advice on local hot spots and trips further afield. Kilkenny Golf Club is within reach of a decent 7 iron.
