Good Hotel Guide Review
On a winding road, past woods, ferns and steel-grey lochs, John and Susan Martin’s ‘good-value, well-located’ small B&B is ‘a haven of tranquillity and good food’. The ‘affable hosts’ and their ‘efficient’ staff give visitors a ‘friendly welcome’. There’s no lounge, but a collection of single malts (120 and counting), displayed behind a handsome oak bar, provides enjoyable sampling. Afterwards, a ‘good night’s rest’ awaits in ‘spotless, tasteful’ bedrooms, helped by ‘good double glazing for efficient sound insulation’. Some have views across the main road to fields, river and rising hills; others a super-king-size bed and a small sitting area with a sofa; each has a ‘modern, stylish’ bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast, cooked to order, is ‘excellent’. Within ‘easy access’ of Loch Lomond and the Highlands, ‘even for those of us without a car’. ‘We enjoyed our stay.’ (PB, A and EW, J and EG)
