Good Hotel Guide Review
Hunt the mice at this refurbished hotel, restaurant and coffee shop, formed from two old buildings on the bustling market square. The carved wood trademark of Robert Thomas (The Mouseman of Kilburn) runs on pillars, window sills, seating and the counter of The Pickwick bar; low ceilings and an open fire make it a cosy space for sampling the wide selection of craft beers and ciders, many from local breweries. Comfortable bedrooms (some at the rear) are modern with plush fabrics. Light meals, seasonal dishes and pub classics are served in the Atrium restaurant, the Feversham bar and Coffee Lounge; all desserts are home made. The ‘excellent, friendly service’ continues in the morning with a tasty breakfast. Part of the Coaching House group.
