Good Hotel Guide Review
In a pretty village that slopes down to the bay, this ‘friendly’ spot has ‘the feel of a boutique hotel, with extra-special touches’. Thick armchairs cluster in comfortable groups, some by the wood-burner, in the spacious bar; in the smart dining areas, guests sit down to hearty grills, classic Cornish fare and Sunday lunches. The bedrooms are ‘lovely’: styled in hues inspired by sand, sea and sky, they range in size from cosy to family friendly. Some have views of spectacular seascapes. A short walk down the hill, guests may use the spa and swimming pool at sister property, Carbis Bay Hotel, before stepping on to the Blue Flag beach; here, too, is the St Ives branch line for the short train ride into town.
