Good Hotel Guide Review
Relish a Victorian gentleman’s residence in ten acres of gardens and pasture. Off a single-track road, welcoming hosts Rob Perham and Clive Sweeting have given their double-fronted guest house new life with deep hues, contemporary artwork and vintage-inspired style. There’s a wood-burning stove and an honesty bar in the lounge; fire pits outside. Moody-toned, well-equipped bedrooms are lifted by interesting ornaments picked up during the owners’ travels; there’s no TV – instead, gaze through the windows at the Cambrian mountains, the kitchen garden or surrounding fields and hills. From breakfast and dinner to packed lunches and picnics, much of the food is home-made, home-grown or locally sourced.
