Good Hotel Guide Review
The Barlows, whose family have run Treglos for 50 years, have sadly decided to close the hotel. What began as a four-bedroomed Victorian house with views across the bay, has grown over decades into a holiday hotel, promoted to a full entry this year on the recommendation of trusted readers. ‘It’s always a pleasure to return here… Comfortable room with a terrace overlooking the bay, sunshine every day, good food, swimming pool…’ The hospitality and welcome are universally praised. ‘The staff were absolutely superb, professional, pleased to do anything to make our stay relaxing and happy.’ ‘Our room was spacious, pleasantly furnished and well equipped.’ With landscaped gardens, a spa, golf course and children’s playground, there is plenty to keep the family entertained. ‘A self-service cold table for first course, on three nights a week, was exceptional and had an abundance of seafood.’ Breakfast brings ‘a splendid array of fruits… good, freshly cooked food’. A bedroom with a balcony and sea view is clearly the best choice. (Bill Wood, Sue and John Jenkinson, Mary Coles)
