Good Hotel Guide Review
Just a few minutes’ drive from RHS Wisley, Mindi McLean’s refurbished B&B in a 200-year-old listed barn is filled with little luxuries. Creatively decorated bedrooms have fresh flowers, dressing gowns, slippers, chocolates, home-made shortbread. Bathrooms, with under-floor heating, are stocked with fine toiletries; one has a raised slipper bath set against illuminated brick walls. Taken in the conservatory, breakfast has plenty of choice. Tables, overlooking the walled garden, are laden with fresh fruit, home-baked bread, home-made granola and preserves, village honey; daily specials might include waffles with strawberries and maple syrup. In the evening, perhaps a foray to the Michelin-starred Clock House restaurant in the village High Street.
