Good Hotel Guide Review
Within strolling distance of the town and the beach, a ‘friendly’, and eco-friendly, hotel in a handsome Victorian clifftop villa. Its many sustainable initiatives include a community veg garden and responsibly sourced furnishings to solar panels and beehives on the roof. Bedrooms (some snug) are smartly decorated in pleasing, earthy tones, ‘crisp’ organic bed linens on comfortable beds; and bathrobes and slippers; bathrooms have a natural stone handbasin; perhaps even a reclaimed Victorian roll-top bath. Rear rooms are quietest. In Arbor restaurant, uncomplicated but imaginative seasonal dishes use organic, Fairtrade and locally sourced ingredients, and may be served on the terrace in good weather.
