Good Hotel Guide Review
All is shipshape on this plush former Northern Lighthouse supply ship, floating moments away from buzzy Leith. Once serving Scottish islands, today this now luxury liner serves up classic cocktails and fine dining before rocking visitors to sleep in decadent berths. The Art Deco interiors gleam glamour (curving wood, high-gloss brass, thick carpets, rich leather). Porthole-lined cabins have a huge bed draped in a custom-woven throw; rain shower, under-floor heating, good toiletries in the bathroom. First-class cabins open on to the deck; those on the starboard have the best views. Find modern Scottish fare in the dining room come evening. At breakfast, haggis and black pudding complete the full Scottish; waffles are tempting alternatives.
