Good Hotel Guide Review
In shipshape order, this luxury floating hotel aboard a revamped former Northern Lighthouse supply ship is berthed in a working dock in Edinburgh’s trendy Leith district. Once serving Scottish islands, the now-luxury liner serves up cocktails and refined dining before guests drift off to sleep in decadent berths. All curving wood, thick carpets and glossy brass, the Art Deco interiors glamorously gleam. Porthole-lined cabins have a huge bed draped in a custom-woven throw; bathrobes, a rain shower, under-floor heating. First-class cabins open on to the deck; those on the starboard have the best views. At breakfast, haggis and black pudding complete the full Scottish.
