Good Hotel Guide Review
‘A model of hospitality’, this ‘pleasingly modern, minimalist’ B&B close to the Suffolk coast has won awards for its contemporary design. ‘Bruce Badrock and David Woodbine are charming, excellent hosts who work hard to make sure everything is pretty perfect,’ say trusted readers in 2020. In a shingle-clad extension, light-filled suites (all mezzanine, bar one) have ‘interesting art’ and pops of colour; patio doors open on to a decked terrace, with a wildflower garden just beyond. ‘Well-designed and comfortable’, the sitting area, dining room and kitchen are in the original barn, where complimentary tea and cake are served every afternoon. ‘Exceptional’ breakfasts include ‘perfectly cooked’ hot options.
