Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Small but so comfortable’, Stephen Bull’s ‘cheerful, friendly’ Kemp Town B&B is steps from the beach. The style is pleasingly modern: pared-down, unfussy, with pictures of the town by local artists. Almost every bedroom at the ‘immaculately presented’ Regency house looks over the sea and down to Palace Pier. ‘Light, airy and clean’, each room has a ‘comfy bed’ and many ‘thoughtful touches’ (ear plugs in the bedside drawer, biscuits and a capsule coffee machine, ‘fluffy towels and dressing gowns’). Some rooms have a walk-in wet room, others, a freestanding bath in the bathroom. Pick from an ‘excellent’ breakfast menu: blueberry pancakes; ‘highly recommended double eggs Benedict’. All diets are catered for. The Lanes, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. On-site parking is a bonus.
