Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Excellent meals, comfortable accommodation and responsive owners’ make this family-owned hotel, in an old maritime village on the Suffolk coast, a welcome addition to the area. ‘Cathy Jones, the manager, was very helpful with ideas of restaurants and activities, before we’d even arrived,’ write Guide readers this year. ‘Clean-lined and modern but grey’ bedrooms (some with their own entrance) vary in size; some can accommodate a family. ‘Our suite overlooking the well-kept garden had an extremely comfy bed. In the bathroom: fluffy towels, super-soft robes, a wonderful drench shower.’ A continental breakfast is served Sun–Wed; hot breakfasts Thurs–Sat might include ‘a very fine kipper’. Dinner has good choice.
