Good Hotel Guide Review
Uncurl in comfort in this recently renovated hotel in an old maritime village on the Suffolk coast. Family-owned and friendly, it supports hedgehog conservation. Clean-cut bedrooms (some with their own entrance) are kitted out in restful shades and abstract prints; they have a drench shower and Suffolk-made organic toiletries in the bathroom. Casual meals (salads, sandwiches, burgers) are served in the spruce bar; on Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant has a monthly-changing menu of local favourites and specialities from around the world. On a fine day, step in to the garden, where little Hog ‘hotels’ shelter hedgehog guests, then wander a little further to see the colourful huts on the beach.
