Good Hotel Guide Review
Coastal colours and a breezy style fill this chic Edwardian house above the sandy beach at Carbis Bay. The B&B is owned by Mark and Fenella Thomas, who have created a tranquil retreat from the bustle of St Ives proper. Decorated in marine hues, inviting bedrooms are set over three floors. Each has its own character and special touches: a garden room has outdoor seating on a private deck; an upper-floor seaview room has a window seat from which to watch the waves on the beach below. All rooms are exceedingly well equipped, down to the home-made cake that appears in the room each afternoon. Borrow a book to read in the garden hammock; evenings, a complimentary drink is on offer. Breakfast brings organic Cornish fare and a broad vista across the bay. 1½ miles from St Ives.
