Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Domesticated heaven’ meets high technology at Olivia Byrne’s stylish Pimlico hotel. Within the Georgian building, ‘comfortable bedrooms’ are kitted out with many tech-focused features: a ‘digital concierge’ on an iPad; a smartphone with free mobile internet; shower walls that mist up at the touch of a button; an adjustable bed with massage settings. (‘Super-friendly’ staff are ready to guide less tech-savvy guests through it all.) There’s a capsule coffee machine in the room, too, but tea may be brought up on request, in good, old-fashioned manner. Ask for room recommendations before booking: some rooms are small, others have a private balcony or patio. Plenty of restaurants and cafés are within walking distance; alternatively, the cocktail lounge has a short menu of snacks and simple dishes. (Underground: Victoria)
